All other SC Probate Courts require both applicants to apply in person and pay in CASH. Out-of-State couples are encouraged to utilize the online options.

The cost of the license ranges from $50-$95. If applying in person, cash and correct change is required.
Valid identification is required including Social Security number and another form of ID, such as a state driver’s license with picture, birth certificate (only if bride or groom is under 18), passport, military ID, military department’s ID or state ID.
An ordained minister or a Notary Public may perform your wedding ceremony; please note South Carolina does not have Justices of the Peace. A marriage license may be used statewide in any South Carolina county.
Marriage Licenses MUST BE recorded by the Probate Court within 15 days of your wedding ceremony. I do that part for you!
I take complete all of your Marriage License paperwork and mail it for recording with the Probate Court for you as part of my service!
